The Hub’s recommendations for, and guidance on, water policy and governance reform will enable more integrated decision-making and changes in public policy and planning. More integrated governance of water resources - across departments and scales – will facilitate the more effective implementation of integrated water resource management in the programme sites and ensure more equitable resource allocation. Integrated management of water resources is critical to the equitable and sustainable provision of water services for ecosystem and human health. We aim to influence the implementation of lower cost, more sustainable, efficient and equitable water security strategies in the programme sites. An important precondition of integrated management of water resources is integrated and accessible data, knowledge, and capacity.
