The Hub’s goal was to adopt a systems approach in the delivery of sustainable water security within the four programme sites.
To achieve this goal, we identified four key outcome areas:
Public Policy and Governance: creating integrated frameworks for policy, decision-making, and management that enable enhanced water security.
Ecosystem and Human Health: embedding climate change adaptation and integrated risk reduction to improve quality of life and environmental sustainability.
Social and Cultural Inclusion: water resource processes and practices integrate local knowledge, community voices, and a multiplicity of values for more equitable water management.
Capacity Building: global, national, and local partnerships, engagement, and training enhance the ability of researchers and stakeholders to address issues of water security.
Recognising the complex relationships and dynamics of systems-level change, the case studies below provide examples of the integrated nature of our research interventions and the multiple benefits of their application.
